A week ago, the PS4 version of this game new was $54. Yesterday, it dropped for $30. After Dragon Age, this was the other game I've wanted for some time. Just in time for my birthday.
Reika, get the kids outta here. This one's gonna be bloody.

12 Hero Slots... ...just enough to create one of each gender and class. *giggles like a child* Reika: It's like Blizzard is aware of those who suffer from alt-itus. No idea why.

Russian Orthodox Priest Shaolin Monk voiced by Jameison Price. Dude! Reika: That is the oddest mishmash I've ever seen. Well played, Blizzard.

And you're just in time for the anniversary event with the cow level! I played a bit this weekend just for that.

And you're just in time for the anniversary event with the cow level! I played a bit this weekend just for that. What are you talking about? There is no cow level. There is no secret random portal that will take you to a breeding ground of cows with cleavers and phat loot. And there's certainly no giant golden cow as a boss for such an event - that totally doesn't exist. >.>... <.<... >.>...

Love this game. Love love love this game. I was nervous when I heard the original was going to appear on consoles and then that it was NOT going to appear on consoles.
And then it appeared anyway, just in time for me to hear that it wasn't entirely guaranteed that the expansion pack would appear on consoles. And then it did anyway, and everything was good. (I mean... yeah, it arrived as a full on game including the original acts, but hey... at least it cost about half the price of a full game over here.)

Well, after two of these not-a-cow-levels, I'm already about level 29. Holy crap.

Playing this got me to thinking...
Am I the only person who thought the Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance series on PS2 was okay? Because I am getting flashbacks.

Eh, the first one was kind of... prototype-ish. Not bad, but I grew bored with it much faster than even the original Diablo. Second game was pretty good, though.
Kind of the opposite with Champions of Norrath and its sequel Champions: Return to Arms. In hindsight, I thought Champions of Norrath ended up the better game because the way it set up its stages felt more like a proper story compared to the random-ish way Return to Arms did the "go to the realm of *something* and pick up the stone of *that place*, then move on to the next world".

I played Dark Alliance two player with my brother, which is really the only way I would have gotten through the game. It was all right as a co-op, but I really wanted a shirt for my mage guy. I remember finding a new chest piece and being all excited. Then I put it on and my brother and I laughed because he was still running around bare-chested. Most people don't play a spellcaster for that kind of look. >.>
