www.rpgfan.com/news/2009/198.htmlPSP gets its own version now, apparently. Possible Epic Fail, possible Epic Win if it renews interest in the series, especially after the fail that was Dragon Song, Fail if it falls on deaf ears because it's just yet again another rehash of the original story. So if it is Win...we may get new stuff...but what would it be on? In the end I don't think it's going to change much. Our beloved Lunar is pretty much a niche series now, never to really break back into mainstream again.

If it brings more interest in the series, bring it on.
Ghaleon needs to stay out of retirement.
...
And Kyle needs a job since you 'laid him off' in Children of Fate.
Schala: Ba-zing.

Fail if it falls on deaf ears because it's just yet again another rehash of the original story. One of my employees told me about this today. The problem with the Lunar series that that they can't add or take away much without ruining continuity. Just look at Ghaleon's eye. All of the dungeons have a purpose in the story, which is something I loved about it. If you add new dungeons you have to add a purpose for them. If they can do it, more power to them, and either way I will still get it. There are just a few things that have me worried: 1. What will the continuity be like? 2. Are they going to try and "update" the battle systems? 3. The voices (let's just leave it at that) 4. The soundtrack (please Althena keep it good)

4. The soundtrack (please Althena keep it good) My OST CDs disappeared in my move a couple years ago...I'm still very sad. A small part of me is hoping they're going to turn up in a box that went to Florida at some point

I was thinking about the voices.
Victor Ireland voiced interest in this. Maybe Gaijinworks might finally get off the ground.
*gets shot*
But seriously, if that happened, maybe we can get the original VAs. The problem with that is, time may have not been too kind to them this time.
I don't really care who voices who if that's the case, but please, PLEASE, keep John Truitt as Ghaleon. Nobody else is worthy.
On that note, who in the professional VA biz would be good to voice who if we can't get the originals?

I On that note, who in the professional VA biz would be good to voice who if we can't get the originals? I'm, no surprise, a fan of Mark Hamil's VA work. Best Joker ever, and because I refuse to see who he voices, I still can't figure out who he does on Metalocalypse. He's been doing great VA work for more almost two decades now. Just no Jonny Yong Bosch. He's good...but he's VAing everything these days, and I'm tired of hearing him, heh.

I can't really see another person playing Ghaleon other than John Truitt.

As long as Noriyuki Iwadare's still going strong (and I haven't heard otherwise), I think we can safely say that the soundtrack won't be botched. ...Except for any vocal works. Those are still at risk and at the mercy of the translators who may or may not take proper poetic care with the contents. Rewrite, if you must, but please... at least let it make sense/have something to do with the game. ::cringes:: Continuity-wise, yes, I kind of share the fears there. Though, since it's Lunar, I'm willing to give it a little grace as long as they don't commit character assassination (going under the 'same story, different storyteller' premise from the SSSC interviews). I don't think I could take it if Mel started calling for tea and biscuits instead of being a tough old seadog. That said, I will be sure to keep a close eye on the import site I frequent this fall. I'll probably take a chance on it.

Another remake? Good grief. It's nice that Lunar is staying alive and all, but... it's getting kind of ridiculous. I really can't think of anything they could do with Lunar that hasn't already been done to justify another remake, unless maybe they make it a fully 3D, fully first person adventure like Shining the Holy Ark. But that's never going to happen.

In that case, I guess you're tired of hearing Children of Dawn to Children of Hope Lark, then, huh? But seriously, I would be surprised if they didn't put in Johnny. I think he'd actually make a damn good Hiro in lieu of Chad Letts. ....I need to make a list now. ;D

But that's never going to happen. Agreed. I like some of the things they added to Legend, such as the argument between Xenobia and Phacia on the Frontier or the scene with Ghaleon saving the pixie, but they completely snipped out everything funny in Meryod. Two pratfalls in a row was classic! Besides, what about showing EB some love?
