On a whim, I rewatched The Princess and the Pilot. It's a movie, so it's a self-contained little thing, and it's totally sweet (for also being a war movie). The two leads are endearing, the dogfights are great, and the oceanic world is simply gorgeous.
Unfortunately I want more of it, and because it is a self-contained thing, there isn't. :\ The closest thing is The Pilot's Love Song TV series set in the same universe, which isn't as good and I've already seen it.
I need more media with romance and aerial dogfights. >.<

There isn't as much -- if any at all -- dogfighting in it, but Allison & Lillia had a pretty good first season where the female lead is the pilot of her own plane. The second "season" is about two different people, though, and while alright enough, had a really lame ending.
Haven't watched Princess and the Pilot myself; I'd have to buy it. I have watched Pilot's Love Song, though, and... well, to say that I didn't like it would be a major understatement.

Not gonna lie. When I saw the title on the front page, I thought Zero had posted another chapter of the future story... >.>
Glad you found a movie you enjoy though.

The second "season" is about two different people, though, and while alright enough, had a really lame ending. I've been meaning to watch that, but I can't seem to find any place that streams it legally (I don't like going on pirate sites because who knows wtf shady ads they're running over there), which is annoying because I know it's been licensed. Hulu had the first couple episodes a while ago, but they never had the whole thing. Crunchyroll has The Princess and the Pilot streaming, but I don't know if they have the rights for Nordic countries. If they do, it'd be an easy way for you to check it out. And it's much much better than Pilot's Love Song. The combat is better (no bolt action rifles vs. fighter planes), the romance is more understated (less teenage hormones), and the whole thing is a lot more focused since most of the movie is just the two of them on their crazy blockade-running journey to get the princess to freedom. If you watched Love Song most of the way through though, the blue fighter jet that shows up mid-series to save everyone's ass is the protag of Princess and the Pilot, and the ruler of the allied country that sent the fighter is the princess ascended to her new station. It's a neat cameo, though nothing really comes of it. (Ears perk up) Oceanic world? Unfortunately they don't spend much time in the ocean so much as flying above it, but this is the kind of oceanscape they're flying over. It's very pretty to look at! The background artists did a wonderful job.

No, Princess and the Pilot isn't available on Crunchy over here. Pilot's Love Song is, however, hence why I found out that I'm not very fond of it.
