A little over a year ago I got my first taste of D&D (3.5). The first time I played (as in the first meeting, not the first full campaign) I was set up with a fighter who couldn't get drunk, so his ultimate goal was to find a drink that could. Easy to play, but not my style. The second time we played I did the same character, in which we mimicked the Big Bang Theory Christmas game. By the end of this game I think we were all a little tired with our characters. We haven't played since Christmas. A little while ago I mentioned to those guys my disappointment at the lack of a Jack-of-all-Trades type of character. So yesterday the guy not only made the class (I named a Ripper (a "Jack"-of-all-Trades the "Ripper")) but put together the campaign. This is a character I can sink my teeth into. Chaotic Neutral with a desire to blow stuff up. I took out about 2 floors just to get the gold out of a magical symbol on the floor .

What you need is me as your DM/GM I know how to bring out the best in any character.

Apparently when dealing with craft alchemy, base 10 + natural 20 = "Big Boom".

Yay, more explosions. So we've had a weekly game with the exception of two weeks (one of which was due to my Grandpa's funeral). In that time I made a concoction that our warrior threw and blew up a whole pirate ship and set up a trap that left a camp and 17 enemies nothing more than a smoldering crater. Craft Alchemy + Craft Trap = Awesome. I love this character.

You're having so much fun that you must be channeling Lina Inverse or the Burn Notice cast... or me from my days of massive Disgaean Geo Damage explosions. Nice job.

Well, another session come and gone. I didn't really get to blow anything up of note, but I did get to see someone get decapitated by a bag. Word of warning, do not stick your head in a "bag of holding."

Well, we finished our first complete campaign. I died from a death spell, got revived by the DM's NPC, then ultimately did nothing to affect the battle after that, because our Warrior decapitated the guy, and our wizard got sucked into a god he was creating to fight the thing. He's starting to be a god now.
We are about to start our next campaign with our former DM taking a player spot and a player taking the DM spot. I have also gotten permission to be the mind of the son of my last character in the body of a huge hulking monster with a -6 CHA. Not to mention we are getting a newbie, have no humans in the party, have a first time bard, and a body that doesn't know it's dead because two cursed items are fighting over the body. This is going to be fun.
