Okay, so if you've ever been to tv.com, you know they review shows every week. And frankly, their reviewer stable has always been nothing but a bunch of blowhard morons who have no idea how story telling is supposed to go. They spend all their time always attacking characters and plots this way and that way, all the while never understanding that everything is usually being done for a reason. Characters exist for reasons....events happen for reasons. You have to let the story play out until the end when it comes to TV show watching before you can fully make a coherant arguement as to whether or not the season or series is working.
Take Agents of SHIELD.
I've been enjoying it since the start. Yeah, I haven't been a fan of Agent Ward. I've seen him as stiff and somewhat boring/predictable. BUT...I know that they must have been portraying him that way for a reason. All season long critics of SHIELD have been saying "he needs to be killed off!" or "he's so bad! change him!"
Well...once more after last night these people are shown for the morons they are when it was revealed that Ward is in fact a part of Hydra!
BOOM!!!! YOU FREAKING MORONS!!!!
He was written this way on purpose!!! It was all a part of the story and design to have him be so vanilla before it is now revealed that his is a cold blooded psychopathic killer that works for a facist organization with world domination designs!!!
YOU ALL SUCK!!!!
TV Reviewers have no idea what the hell they are doing! It ties into the old saying "Those who can't teach." In this case, "those who can't whine and complain because they think they know it all."
Go to hell, reviewers. This is why I ignore everything you say.

You need to find better reviewers. I haven't watched the latest episode yet, but I haven't seen as much Ward hate where I hang out. Instead it's a legion of Skye hate ("She's a total Mary Sue!"). Now I'm kind of curious about that episode. I usually don't watch until the weekend.

I don't so much read reviews of anything anymore after the rage-a-thon I had last year over reactions to all the shows I like...it's just general stupid internet commentary by people who are "in the know" about how things should be done and what is good and what is bad. In general...all this does is re-enfore my standard "I hate people" mantra

Okay, I watched the episode. Definitely fun, one of the better ones. Ward still has the emotional depth of a burrito, but I've liked him anyway.
I'm not sold on Ward being a cold-blooded psychopathic killer though because when Lorelei had him in thrall she mentioned that he liked someone who wasn't May. Unless there's some off-camera love interest somewhere, Skye is really the only candidate.
Now that I think about it though, Victoria Hand was so good about locking everyone down in the Hub this episode, even pretending to be HYDRA to see who was really loyal to SHIELD, and yet at the end of the episode she allows Ward to accompany her knowing that Garrett was his SO and that Garrett must've been recruiting for HYDRA from within SHIELD? It just seems like a mistake she shouldn't have made.
