I wish I had a working PC so I could play this with people. Maybe have that Shrine reunion game Anon was talking about 3 years ago.
Yeah, I've been watching some of these games on YouTube, (TeamFourStar and Linkara did a few games, I think), and now with Anon mentioning it again...
Hmmm... could it work with just text...?

Not really. Too much awesomeness to replicate simply through text

I like the game, but I think it would be difficult to play remotely due to the card dealing and such, unless you had someone taking on a referee/game master role where they handled the cards but didn't play. (Unless there's some sort of app I'm not aware of... I only played in person.)
I did several IRC games of Clue back in the day (it was actually Lunar-themed Clue where the goddess Althena was "dead" and everyone played a different character from the games), but I took on the GM role and didn't play so I could map where everyone and everything was on the board as well as be keeper the cards; who had which cards and the confidential file that said who the murderer was, where they did it, and with what.
These days Skype or Ventrilo is also an option if the idea is that text isn't as good as voice, though that doesn't solve the card dealing problem. I have a vent server I pay for and Skype is free (and I think it supports conference calls). People just need mics.

Figured I'd necro this. Before FFXIV's 4.1 patch dropped a few days ago, I had my first ever game of Cards Against Humanity with a few of my guildmates. It was glorious. For the record, we used the Pretend You're Xyzzy website/app and Discord to chat. Since we were playing during patch maintenance, our host had a FFXIV pack ready to go along with the rest of the cards. The first round we played, I won by a landslide. Second round, I kept getting crap cards. Last round, I was one point away. So yes. I now have options.
