No surprises in my haul, because, well...I do all the purchasing for the family cuz I know how to play Amazon for all it's worth. That, and my family is a big believer in no surprises when it comes to gifts. Lists are created, and all gifts come from the list as affordable.
And...all the shopping was completed 4 weeks ago, so everything's either been downloaded or already sitting on a shelf waiting to be used as of today.
Mind you, this is combination Hanukkah Christmas list and some things were also opportunity due to really good sales:
Games:
Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition off of steam...beaten as of earlier this week. Dishonored for PS3, cuz it was on super sale and I've kinda always been curious about it. Skyrim Special Edition PS4...gets started when I wake up next.
Movies:
Hobbit Trilogy Extended Edition Blu-ray Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Blu-ray Spider-Man: Homecoming Blu-ray
In the end I decided to not do .hack GU Last Recode now, because 1) the price did not super drop until after I had long since completed my shopping, and 2) I can wait until it gets even lower in a few months then get it on the cheap since it's not like it's something totally new for me.

I got spoiled very well this year. Aquaman comics- some puns and lots of love for sea creatures. 3DS- More Phoenix Wright! Wii with SNES and NES emulators- my bro couldn't find me an SNES mini, so this will do marvelously well. Endless Ocean- (unintelligible squeals of joy) Novelteas, teas inspired by books with pun names- I'd never had a full cup of matcha before (Matcha Do About Nothing) and it's amazingly good. I usually don't drink plain green or white teas, so this was a delightful surprise. iTunes gift cards- I've been wanting these for a while. I want to do a trip to Bali sometime, so have been stocking up on the music. Gamelan music is gorgeous. My folks were pretty busy this season and all of us got sick within a week of each other, so they gave us one present to unwrap and cash to have fun. My plan for that is the 3DS Phoenix Wright games, trip to spa, zoo membership (I love the Tropics area in the winter, so peaceful), some leather or suede boots, and possibly the Radiant Historia soundtrack I've had my eye on for a while. Since I had off Christmas Eve, I was able to take care of chores early and only had to rest for a bit. We threw in my cousin's Christmas DVD of awesome, had tons of tasty food (most of which I could eat), and my youngest nephew made an amazing haul. Everyone loved their presents. (One of the best was the 'Sick, Sad World' hoodie I got for my bro. The idea came when a customer came through my line wearing one. It's good to be head cashier sometimes.) I've also recently learned that I'm going to be the cool auntie again. I'm waiting for my bro and sis-in-law to tell me what color afghan to do, so the Ecco cross-stitch might have to be put aside for a bit.

Merry Christmas, everyone.
Didn't get any games this year either, but I generally prefer it that way anyway. Mostly, I got a lot of candy and some clothing articles -- mostly for hiking purposes, which is the one safe haven for my gift-giving friends and relatives anyway. (You'd be surprised how important the right kind of socks are when you're going on a four hour hike.)

Merry belated Christmas everyone. I was a little busy to report in on Christmas. Lots of people in town, visiting, and to spend time with. I barely had time to send a text to my game groups my wish that they get a "Dragon's hoard" in loot; a sentiment I extend to all of you.
As far as gifts go, I didn't get too much in the new game department, but I did get stuff in the old game department. Got an Atari 2600 jr, selection of games (including Dig Dug), and an authentic retro case for everything. I did get some other game things like Cards Against Humanity stuff and Codenames. What I was really blown away by was a Dragon wax warmer from my sister. Really cool. And, of course, it wouldn't be a holiday if I didn't get some candy. Interesting one this time in the form of Turkish Delight.
