Alright. I am in need of some help from those of you who have played indie games. I could get another mainstream title, but; 1. They're above what I have left in price and; 2. I thought it would be nice to try something different.
I have $38 on my PSN and can only get one of the following that I've found an interest in:
Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom
or
Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs
If none of you have played either of these, that's fine. I could probably just look them up on YouTube.

Okay, so I've looked up both games, and I have to say, I'm leaning heavily towards Regalia. It looks to be a mix of Disgaea and Persona, and I'm seeing a bit of meta-humor from the prologue alone. The voice acting seems pretty good too. Reminds me of Lunar in that it seems they're using employees, so that's pretty impressive.
I'll wait a bit for everyone's thoughts, but it looks like I might get this one and shoot for Shiness later on.

I've played neither, but if I were to take a chance, I'd probably go for Regalia too. Part of that is because the Shiness trailer seemed to focus mainly on all the stuff you could learn and build on. Which sounds neat, but I got the impression that the game sort of expects you to do almost nothing but grind skills to their exhausting extreme. For the game's sake, I hope I'm wrong about that.
I have an about equal liking to action RPGs and more RTS-like variants in the Shining Force mould, so... yeah that, and I simply liked Regalia's art style much more too.

I already purchased Regalia, but thanks for the input.
