Well, the guy I relied on for rides to school last semester can't come through for me this semester. I sorta knew it, but didn't think it'd affect me, but he already made a commitment to another person in our group to carpool with her, thus making it out of the way to come and get me.
It sucks, but I'm not mad at him, just disappointed in the turn out since I still have no car and my mom's clients on the days I need a ride are far away.
It seems I'm going to have to suffer Uber twice a week, which is my only realistic option. I'm only 10 mins or less from campus (traffic permitting) so it's not far...still...meh.
Le Sigh.
This is just another life lesson one must learn and remember: if you have a working car...keep it no matter what. If you are leaving the country or the area where you use if for a while....just freaking find some place to store it.
This is one of the last China mistakes haunting me right now. My car, and my mom's car from then were both fine. It was such a stupid mistake to get rid of them. So short sighted.
Granted, this is only a temporary problem, a four month problem, but still a problem.
Next Fall I should have enough money to get a new used car, but that is the Fall...not now.
I just hate losing control of a situation I thought I had planned out.
Oh well...that's life.
