It was one hell of a year, but we made it. Barely.
Maybe not entirely intact, but we made it.
Best wishes to everyone.

It was a nice Christmas here, though I wish it would have been safe for the usual gang. May the next year bring good health, a cooperative muse, and lovely memories. Oh, and tasty food from the Singapore cookbook that was a Christmas present!

Belated.
Hope everyone had as good a time as they could, considering current circumstances. A friend of mine dropped off some homemade mushroom soup for me on Christmas Day, which was awfully nice of her. It was super toasty. Tasty too!

Belated too.
Our Christmas eve was fairly per usual, if you put aside the whole overhanging fear of an outbreak where I live. The only other thing that happened is that one of my friends arranged for some packages from Tokyo Treat mailed to me without telling me, so I had to go through parts of a workday wondering HOW THE HELL THIS COMPANY GOT MY MAIL ADDRESS!

My last present arrived in the mail today. (I was fine waiting, with the holiday rush and sending vaccinations.) It's a gift set of bath salts, soap, and an essential oil from one of the stores I visited in Ubud on Bali, by way of Amazon. (They don't ship outside of Indonesia, so a seller resold it at American prices.) It's even more lovely than I remembered, and will be great to think on my trip through the Minnesota winter. Earlier I had gotten another bottle of the Sakura oil from the same store, and a beautiful sundress-with pockets!- that has to wait until summer.
