(We see Skylark in real-time sitting at his desk resting his head on one of his hands, looking ready to doze off. On an old television is an episode of Beverly Hillbillies, the current scene being one of Granny Clampet's rants. Ultimately, Lark gives in to sleep.)
Beverly… Beverly Hillbillies…
(As a drum beat starts on a block TV, Lark awakens suddenly, feeling as if transported to another world or an 80's music video. Lark then stares in astonishment at his hands. He has suddenly become a block person sitting in a block living room, in a block armchair. A block Giblet looks up sleepily as Lark’s chair is drawn to the TV and the drum music gets more intense as it shows Ryudo playing. An electric guitar outlined in neon pink played by Alex Noah starts up as Lark is sucked into the TV. Hawkeye is jamming on a neon green bass (with a neck that bends back as he does) while Noctis is rocking the keyboards. The camera zooms by the band, almost knocking over Alex in the process. Everyone is sporting neon-bright 80s accessories.)
(A block version of Northlander dressed as Jed Clampet adjusts his hat and opens his arms entreatingly to the crowd.)
Huh, now look here people, listen to my story
(It cuts to the TV showing Lark singing and Noctis playing, then the ‘Beverly Hillbillies’ beginning scenes.)
The little story 'bout a man named Jed
(The camera backs off from the TV, showing block Lark and block North again.)
You know something? That poor mountaineer
They say he barely kept his family fed
(The camera switches from Lark’s left to right sides as his gaze follows it.)
Now, let me tell you, one day he was shootin'
(The camera keeps messing with him, going behind and above and below as Lark tries to keep following it.)
Old Jed was shootin' at some food
When all of a sudden right up from the ground there
(Lark finally reaches out to grab the camera and hold it in place while singing.)
Well, there came a bubblin' crude
(Cuts to block North watching a multi-TV display of the ‘Beverly Hillbillies’ footage, singing along.)
Oil that is well, maybe you call it
(On the TV, Jed looks confused at the black liquid welling up from the ground.)
Black gold or Texas tea
(North keeps singing as the Clampets on the TV look excited and jump around.)
He gonna move next to Mr. Drysdale
(The Clampets joyfully take off in the family car.)
And be a Beverly Hillbilly
(Cuts to Ryudo’s drumming before the TV showing Jed and Granny checking out their new mansion.)
Before you know it, all the kinfolk are a-sayin'
(Cuts to block North singing.)
Yeah, buddie, move away from there
(Cuts to Jed and his family in their new mansion, then Jed going to Mr. Drysdale’s office.)
That little Clampet got his own cement pond
That little Clampet, he's a millionaire
(Block Lark and Block North are driving a block Clampet car, with Aryn holding a raccoon and Eziban swigging some of Granny’s homebrew in the back. One of Aryn’s frying pans is hanging off the back.)
Now, everyone said, "Californie
Is the place that you oughta be"
(The block car passes again in front of a huge screen showing the band playing.)
We got to load up this here truck now
(The block car comes through again, then Lark glances to the camera on the side and raises his brows at “Hills, that is.)
We got to move to Beverly Hills, that is
(Cuts back to block Lark watching the band on his TV, Giblet still relaxing, and block North coming up to the TV in astonishment.)
Swimming pools, move-a, move-a, movie stars
(North points at the TV.)
Huh, look at that, look at that
(Lark moves around randomly behind North while singing.)
Beverly, Beverly, Beverly Hillbillies
(North smiles at the audience.)
(Y'all come back now, ya hear?)
Beverly, Beverly, Beverly Hillbillies
Beverly, Beverly, Beverly Hillbillies
Beverly, Beverly, Beverly Hillbillies
(The TV shows the ending scene of ‘The Beverly Hillbillies’, sweeps around Lark’s block living room with Giblet contentedly snoozing, then cuts to block Lark asleep with his head on a desk before fading to black.)
