I'm considering buying one after the holidays, as I usually get cash and also got a nice retention bonus at work. (Plus I just applied for two promotions at work, either of which pays more- trainer or uncertified vet tech.)
I'm already thinking of 'Bravely Default 2' and 'Ace Attorney Chronicles' and 'South Park: Fractured But Whole' and would love more recommendations.

*pulls up Backloggery to check list of completed Switch games*
You might like:
AI: The Somnium Files - Because it's a mystery visual novel. It gets much darker/gruesome than Ace Attorney though, and though there is humor it's more adult and occasionally involves porn magazines. It's also told in a a weird non-linear fashion where you'll jump back and forth between different choices you've made to unravel the story since that's become that particular writer/director's hallmark.
Famicom Detective Club - More mystery games! Remake of old NES games with modern graphics and voice acting, but the original NES-style gameplay was left intact, which means sometimes it's really hard to figure out what you're supposed to do next (or hard to find that one object you need to look at). There are two games and they can be played in any order since the second game to be released was actually a prequel. Personally I liked playing in release order, which means The Missing Heir is first and The Girl Who Stands Behind Second. The second game is more refined that the first, so playing in release order means you don't have as many stupid game logic issues the second time around.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses - This is the only RPG I finished on Switch, and it's really a strategy RPG so I'm not sure if that's your cup of tea. It's a looooooooong game too. But it's an unusual mix of a school sim and a strategy game. As one of the academy instructors you (of course!) get to be the one to decide how you want to train your students and they'll need these skills because of course something bad happens and they all need to go to war. The Three Houses refer to the three academic houses at the academy and you choose which house you'll teach for, which affects how the rest of the game plays out. Lots of replay value if you want to do all the routes.
Gnosia - Just putting this one out there if you like something quirky and indie that would never come from a traditional developer. You're trapped in a time loop on a spaceship where one or more of the crew has been turned into Gnosia, which is a sort of alien entity that will erase one member of the crew every night unless the crew throws them into cold sleep first. It's a social deduction game like Werewolf or Mafia, but all the other "players" are AI with their one names and personalities. So some characters are really easy to throw under the bus if you call them suspicious, just because nobody really likes them or they're terrible at defending themselves, and others are really persuasive and you just have to hope they aren't Gnosia, because they'll rally everyone else against you. When you hit certain milestones or meet certain criteria you unlock cut scenes that move the story along or earn new abilities that let you modify the circumstances of your next loop. It's a really nice game for playing when you're not sure how much time you'll have, since rounds are quick (sometimes less than 5 minutes if you or the Gnosia gets iced early).
Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ - Romance visual novel with crossover appeal. Cardia is a young woman who's poisonous to the touch and she wants to find her missing father. Along the way she meets up with Lupin and his gang, all of whom are characters from literature, and they live in steampunk London. The story changes based on who she falls in love with, but generally the routes revolve around her trying to cure her condition and dealing with things she learns about her dad. I highly recommend even if you're not normally interested in romance, because of the rest of the plot is quite good. There are a few dialogue choices each chapter (which is generally centered around a particular event the group is dealing with), but most of the game is just reading, so it's not quite as interactive as a mystery VN. I love the cast of this game, they do such a good job bouncing off of each other, and Cardia is one of my favorite female protagonists ever. I actually use her image as my profile image in my work chat.
