gamesdonequick.com/I've enjoyed watching the videos for awhile before realizing that this event takes place in my neck of the woods. I love when gaming and charity combine, and these guys are one of the biggest fundraisers for Doctors Without Borders. They'll be in person for the first time in years, though it'll be broadcasted online as well. (Covid-19 vaccination proof and masks are required.) I'll have to donate this year and see if there are any Megaman runs, by far my favorite to watch. If I ever go, I wonder if they'd mind if I brought a craft to work on- I usually do cross-stitch while watching at home. I love hearing the messages with donations they read, seeing the raffle prizes, and seeing extra games or tasks like playing Punchout blindfolded for the incentives.

No Megaman, but I was delighted to see that there was a 'Maniac Mansion' run.
Even better, they raised over 2 million dollars for 'Doctors Without Borders'. They'd been hoping to raise at least one.

I think I would have really liked Maniac Mansion as a kid, but I didn't have an NES. I played a little bit of it as part of work though since we were re-releasing it as a PC port. I didn't have the time to go all the way through since I was just doing a spot check to make sure it launched and wasn't crashing (someone else did the bulk of the testing), but could see how it would have been fun back in the day.

My brothers and I adored it. The different routes, the humor, the complete random nuttiness. The great music. The fact that you get the chainsaw in this game and the gas for it in another. And don't forget that the sequel introduced us to the Chron-O-John that led to our time-traveling bathroom.

I was wrong- there was a two runner, one controller run of Megaman 6. And the runners lived 2000 miles away from each other and didn't get to practice much.
