I love music, and use it often for inspiration, while caring for my bird, and beating down the depression/anxiety demons. I've even come across lovely music that speaks for itself outside of the gaming experience- anyone else?
'Those Who Inherit the Stars' from 'Another Eden'. I found this on iTunes while looking up other goodies by the composer. Can we please have more gaming music with Irish pipes, please? I already have a plan for this song for a to-be-published story down the road.
'Asgore' from 'Undertale'. Yeah, I haven't played it because I'm a console girl. 'Undertale' is filled with amazing themes, but this one is by far my favorite. You can hear many similarities between this and Toriel's battle theme...
'Salve Springs' from 'Nine Parchments'. Antti Martikainen is one of my favorite composers and I found this album he helped make on iTunes. Lots of beach and frozen themes, but this one makes me want to sink in an onsen with yuzu fruit and a cup of tea. One day...
'Waking the Sleepers' from 'Holiday Star'. Yes, I still have to buy 'Holiday Star'. I don't want to spoil things for Rune, but this is especially powerful during a certain scene with Ryouta and Yuuya. This will also show up in a future story to be published.
'Light of Ruin' from 'Hexyz Force'. I have HCBailly (and Lark) to thank for this one. I loved the playthrough and own the soundtrack. Luckily, there are a lot of item collecting stops in the Altar of Nervil so I got to hear this one a lot on the playthrough. Also a future soundtrack list.

Well... there's the two versions of Hikari no Tsubasa from the original Growlanser which was never brought over here. The female version was better sounding, musically speaking, but I still liked them both (same music but different lyrics in some parts).
Also, the opening theme to the first Spectral Force game. That was a sweet little song. Can't remember the title of it right now, but it will pop up on a search for the game.
Then there's the vocal version of the Tales of Phantasia theme, Yume wa Owaranai (which was used as opening credits in a remake of the game).
...I can't really remember anything else right now off the top of my head that stood out that way. Too many games that I actually DID play and other stuff that slipped my mind.

Oooh, I completely forgot about 'Super Metroid'. I love lower Norfair and Maridia's themes (fire and water, obviously) but Brinstar and the escape and boss themes are also excellent.
If anyone wants a great/funny playthrough, I highly recommend David N's 'Stumbling through Super Metroid'. He was a part of Team Hatoful and had voiced Kazuaki, Hitori, Shuu, and Kenzaborou on their playthroughs and does make a few 'Hatoful' references. It also shows how things can be tricky when playing it with color blindness as well as some great British insults.
