I think it's safe to say that most of us are shipping/pairing buffs, so this topic is for your favorite couples in anime. (Warning: Not everyone may be comfortable with Yaoi or Yuri, so please post a warning before posting such. All other rules still apply.)As with most of the stuff I've posted lately, not mine. Nearly every series I see leads me to a new great pairing. Here's my top 5 5. From the little known Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku o! (Ayaka/Mamoru)  4. Despite the somewhat abusive relationship, this was one of my first exposures to anime/manga and will always be one of my favs (Naru/Keitaro)  3. Going a little classic here (CCS Sakura/Syaoran).  2. Gotta have this one (Naruto/Hinata). It's too cute not to have.  And the number 1 of my top 5. It outdoes Naruto/Hinata in cuteness, outdoes Sakura/Syaoran in the reader's desire for the relationship, ties Naru/Kietaro on the abuse (nobody could ever beat them), and beats out Ayaka/Mamoru for an unconventional pair. Saya and Tadashi from Onidere.  |

Lumiale and Clavis from Angelique (Not canon, but certainly popular in fanfiction.net) End yaoi. Kenshin and Kaoru from Rurouni Kenshin  Yuri Ishtar and Prince Kail from Red River  Sora and Najika from Kitchen Princess |

How's a top 4? Because I'm blanking on a 5th. Had to think about this a bit. I guess my tastes are a bit off-beat but... Hei and Misaki, Darker Than Black There are a lot of hit and miss moments when he meets her in his civilian guise (while she's hunting him in his contractor guise) which are completely adorable, and he's the only person outside of his immediate cohort of who he trusts with his past. It looks like there could have been more between them, which annoys me, but because of their different lives the don't get together. Unfortunately, the subpar season 2 and the OVAs make this relationship distinctively one-sided on Misaki's part. Boooo...   Yahiro and Megumi, Special A She's shy and usually communicates by writing instead of talking. He's blunt, abrasive, and admits he has no idea how to be in a relationship, but because he has a certain lack of tact and he does know how to care for people, he's able to push her (in a good way) to do things she never would have been able to do on her own.  Howl and Sophie, Howl's Moving Castle Cheating a bit, because this was originally a Western novel, but they looked very cute together, and had a very interesting dynamic of old lady and young, boorish magician going on for most of the movie.  Sven and Romelle, Voltron Going old school for this one. Best of all, according to the lead script writer of the new Voltron show, the mother of Sven's son in the new Voltron series is Romelle, so the two of them got hitched. Woo!  |

My almost but not quite there yet, but still hoping, selection: Tenchi + Ryoko...Duh  Ichigo +Orihime...I hope and hope every week we get a little closer  Shinji +Asuka...all signs point to yes...the final two remake movies will hopefully seal the deal   And to steal one from Lark before he realizes it:  And one established couple that got their happy ending: Inuyasha and Kagome     |
