Another of my favorite hobbies, aside from the many adopted by my avatars, is cross-stitch. I usually do kits, especially ocean-themed ones, and found this a few days ago. spritestitch.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=272Someone managed to make a chart of the entire Light World from A Link to the Past. I'm hoping to finish it by Christmas for my cousin, the one that got me into videogames so long ago. So far I have the drawbridge and a bit of the moat done, and got an annoyed reaction by the cashier at Joann's yesterday for buying thirty-nine separate colors of floss. I'll keep you guys posted on how it turns out! ;D

It's done, (other than matting and framing). I finished the last stitches tonight. This isn't mine, but is what it pretty much looks like- Funny story. My brother and his girlfriend came over for 'Castle' night, and I was working on it. He comes to inspect it and says, "This is one of the- the coolest sewing thing I've ever seen. If you get bored, I wouldn't mind one." Did I mention my family is subtle? So it's for my brother, and he still thinks it's for my cousin. My cousin will be getting a FF1 map, while my youngest brother will be getting a Super Mario 3 world map.

Could've been good for a pillow. The light world on one side and the dark world on the other.

Very nice. You know, if you did the Lunar maps you could probably sell them on Lunarnet for a good deal. Plus you'd get some more awesome props.

Another funny story, I had the Super Mario 3 map printed out and thread purchased, then showed my idea to my youngest brother. He says that he'd prefer the Zelda map, then whipped out his cell phone to show me the Zelda 1 NES map on his phone.
Yeah.
So tonight I framed the second Link to the Past map for him. My cousin is getting the FF1 map next (four pages compared to fifteen) because I am NOT doing that damned map a third time! (After that will be a screenshot of Ecco in Atlantis from Ecco the Dolphin for me. Or maybe the Firefly one. We'll see.)
