Warning: Non-major spoilers ahead.
Ghostbusters if freaking awesome. When I first heard about it I was saying, "That sounds cool. I am so getting it." When it got canceled by Activision I said, "Someone is going to pick that up. It's almost done, they won't let it die." When Atari announced that they picked it up and released the HD trailer I said, "H-h-h-holy #$%^&. This is going to be sweet." Now it is out.
H-h-h-holy #$%^&. This is sweet. Everyone is 100% in character, the story is not only good, but makes sense. The gameplay explains some of the physics behind the proton packs and why you can't always catch a ghost right away (ever wondered why Ray wasn't able to hold slimer right away in the first movie?).
Even though Dana and Louis are not a part of the story they still had their part to play. The story revolves around Ilyssia (Alyssa Milano), Gozer, and Evo Shandor. Dana has been mentioned, as well as several things in the other movies.
The game is not only good as a third movie plot, partially by wrapping up things that were left open in the other movies, but it also give you the feeling that you are a Ghostbuster. Even though your character doesn't talk, the interaction with the group is like he is one of them. It's hard to explain in words, but you are a Ghostbuster.
This is one game I know I am going to play over and over.

Well since Anon beat me to it, I have to say that I agree with every single one of his opinions on this. Another non-story spoiler: I like some of the easter eggs from the movies. The biggest one (and the thing is fricken huge, so you can't miss it) is the painting of Vigo from the second movie. I thought he had been blown up inside the painting, but some of the interactions made with him are pretty funny. But yes, I too am playing this over again, definitely. ;D

I love the "cursed artifacts." My faves have to be the Ghostbusters DVD from the future and the GB mug and balloons

no...those were dry heaves Then maybe I shouldn't tell you that the end is just as good as the other two endings and if they are going forward with a third movie (even if it is to pass the torch) this game will make you hopeful. I just finished and already I want another game.

Did they... did they really make a good video game based on a movie?
Well, color me impressed!
How are the different platforms, well, different? Do you have a preference for the Wii, PS3, or 360 versions?

Did they... did they really make a good video game based on a movie? Well, color me impressed! How are the different platforms, well, different? Do you have a preference for the Wii, PS3, or 360 versions? That's just it. While it is technically a game based on a movie, it is not a movie game. It was the reason I had hope before the game came out. With no movie story to follow, no limited time frame, and no reason to add mini games just to add entertainment to an otherwise rather dull game I knew it had a better chance of being good
