(Recently an employee of mine and I have been trying to put together a baseball game. During the exhaustion of work this came out. If you want a commercial of yours added PM me.)
-Welcome sports fans to another day of Major Heroes Baseball. I am Anon Mous bringing you the play by play of today’s game. We have an exciting match up tonight with the home team Meribian Pirates taking on the out of dimension Konoha Leaves. Both teams have won numerous pennants in their own divisions, and now they join together for the first time of the new season.
-Leading off for the visiting Konoha will be the master of speed, Rock Lee playing Short.
-Following him is Hyuuga Neji at Second. While off the field Lee and Neji do not always get along, on the field they are in great harmony.
-Batting third and playing First, the powerful Inuzuka Kiba.
-In the clean up slot and playing Catcher, Akamichi Choji.
-In the fifth hole, team captain, Uzumaki Naruto at Third.
-Out in Right and batting sixth, Haruno Sakura.
-In the seventh slot, out in Left Yamanaka Ino
-Batting eighth and rounding out Konoha’s “Lovely Outfield,” as fans call them, is Hyuuga Hinata in Center field. These girls while not having much power make up for it in the outfield.
-Finally in the ninth hole, and pitching for the Leaves, Mistress of precision Tenten.
-And it looks like we are ready to get things under way as the Pirates take the field. Konoha is going to have to face a fierce righty in the form of Nash of Vane, as he takes the mound for the Pirates. Remember folks, all ninja moves and magic spells are legal, as long as they adhere to baseball rules.
-Nash looks into Hiro for the sign. He gets what he likes. The pitch. Strike one called on the outside corner starts off the game. Lee is taking a minute to . . . give a teary thumbs up to the third base coach, Maito Gai. Gai a former Shortstop for the Leaves. And Lee steps back into the box.
-Nash looks in for the sign, the pitch. Lee squares to bunt. He gets it down, but is not moving. Leo fields it at third and easily throws out the first batter of Konoha. It’s a devastating pitch, Nash’s Shock Ball. Has a 50% chance of completely paralyzing the batter. Probably the only way they can stop Lee when he is bunting.
-Neji steps in. He held a whopping .600 batting average during the preseason, and to date has never been picked off. The Byaukagan is quite an asset in a game like this. First pitch is a ball to Neji. 1 and 0.
-What seems to be even better though is Neji’s on base percentage. With more unintentional walks than anyone in the league, his on base percentage is up over 80%. Ball 2 to Neji as this one runs inside.
-Nash seems to not want to give him anything to hit. I can’t say that I blame him considering the numbers Neji puts up. The 2-0. Make that 3 and 0 as this one runs high.
-Giving up a hit to Neji is not good, but walking batters this early in the game can be a sign that something is wrong. I would be surprised to see him swinging here. The 3-0. The Shock Ball is in there for the first strike. Of course since Neji could see it coming, it is no wonder he didn’t offer.
-Nash checks his sign for the 3-1 pitch. Swing, he connects. It’s a sharp drive into the right field corner, and Neji runs for second. The ball is bouncing around in there and Ruby can’t get a handle on it. Neji rounds second and is heading for third. The throw comes in from the outfield, but Neji is standing on third with a stand up triple. Konoha always was a high scoring team and now we see why..
-Kiba steps up to the plate now, trying to do some damage in the first inning here. While he doesn’t always connect, when he does it’s with a lot of power. Nash checks the sign, and the runner. Swing and a miss on what looked like a curve by the crafty righty.
-Nash checks the sign. Not a big lead from Neji at third. The 0-1. Swing and Kiba laces a grounder up the middle. This will bring Neji in to score and the Leaves take an early lead of 1 to nothing here in the first.
-Akamichi Choji is now stepping up to the plate. While he may not have a lot of speed Choji has proven himself both on the field and at the plate, sporting over 30 homeruns in last year’s regular season. First pitch is a changeup low for ball one.
-Nash checks the runner at first, kicks and fires. A fastball low is chopped foul. Kiba looked like he was going with that one. Probably a hit and run. A gutsy move, but that has been Konoha’s style.
-Nash checks on the runner. The throw over, and Kiba is safely back. Here comes the 1-1 pitch to Choji. He connects and flys it into center. Alex is under it easily for the second out. No advancement from Kiba, as he stays put at first.
-The crowd is booing now as up comes the team captain Uzumaki Naruto. Naruto is a great inspiration as the team captain, but sometimes his aggressive play style sometimes gets him into trouble. If Nash can pitch him smart, he may be able to work past Naruto without letting in anymore runs. The pitch is a strike as Naruto swings way ahead of the changeup.
-Naruto’s average took a big hit in the preseason with his inability to wait on the slow stuff. It seems as if he has yet to get over it. The 0-1. The swing, and he get a piece of that, but it’s headed in toward the fans, 0-2.
-I’d be surprised to see anything in the strike zone here. Here’s the two strike pitch. STRIKE three called on the outside corner on what looked to be a confusion ball. Naruto is now doing a little dance out by the plate.
-It’s almost time for the Meribian Pirates to take the field, but we will pause for commercials and station identification, this is LUNR the Meribian Baseball Network.
