Huh. They added stuff to Leoric's Manor. That's neat.

I noticed too, since the game updated itself yesterday. The new area is kind of neat. Very stormy and drenched. I didn't notice anything else location-wise, though, but I didn't visit Leoric's Manor, so I didn't notice any additions there, naturally. Will amend that later.
My barbarian is doing Torment VI difficulty level with relative ease. I just have to be a bit careful when dealing with elites if they have the "Frozen" skill, because that can really screw me over if I get caught up in the blast. It doesn't help that there's also a skill named "Frozen... something" that isn't nearly as problematic, other than I might sometimes mistake it as the "frozen" skill and be needlessly cautious. Or worse, if I think "frozen" is "frozen... something" (I forgot the name for it, OK? ^^;; ) and keep a needless distance. Or even worse than that, when the game got sneaky and gave the elites both frozen and that other frozen something skill and snuck the former up on me. Sneaky sneaky sneaky.

Yeesh, I thought my barbarian was pretty effective, but I got my Demon Hunter a good bow plus the Marauder set, and he's laying waste to everything on Torment VI with frightening ease. I thought I was actually taking a chance with a level 29 greater rift (or was it level 31?), but he razed that place to the ground too. Guess I'll be using him for a while for my loot runs.

Got my Wizard to Torment III (where my Monk and Barbarian are), so now it's time... for the Crusade. Reika: you really want to complete those 'get to level something with two characters' challenges, don't you? .........maybe.

The further adventures of my Demon Hunter.
So yeah, my Demon Hunter's Marauder set raises the damage I (and my Sentries) do by 600% of the weapon damage times amount of turrets placed. And then I get (and extract the Legendary Power of) the Bombardier's Rucksack with Kanai's Cube. It has the special ability "You may have 2 additional Sentries".
And I just got another portal to "The Vault" from one of those treasure goblins too. Time to boost my money and gem collection a bit.
Oh, and did I mention the last Greater Rift I did with him was a level 36 one? And that I completed it with relative ease?
D'oh! Goddamn it! I also just remembered I completely forgot to take a screenshot from the last greater rift, because while I was in it, I encountered a stage type I had never seen before. They were some kind of tube-like platforms over water, with most of the walls having deteriorated so taht said walls and platforms had huge chunks or holes in them. It might have been a world type made specifically for the rifts, but it's the first time I've ever seen it used even there. (And the rifts usually have backgrounds from worlds you visit in the regular game.) It also didn't help that the enemy selection in said stage was the Whimsyshire gang -- yep, the unicorns, the teddybears and the walking flowers. Gah! Curse me for a fool!
And THEN I get an armor that well, allows me to basically have a wolf pack... (3 wolves) ...in addition to all the other pets. Also, scratch level 36 being my highest completed greater rift: the armor piece I got this skill from I gained in a level 38 rift, which, again, I basically razed to the ground. I died once, mostly because he's not as good at dishing out the damage as he is doling it out, and I got cornered by those rotating laser thing that some elite enemies use. The run netted me "Molten Wildebeest's Gizzard", which gives my Demon hunter life regen and, if I get it to 25, also a shield if I take no damage in four seconds. (Which really isn't a problem. I'm also guessing it's like the shield skill the wizard can have as a passive or something.)

Put my Crusader run on hold to do some T3 farming. Got 4/7 of the Firebird set, pulse a few drops from other sets for my 2nd Wizard. Unfortunately, I got one of the worst rolls possible on the chest piece. Still, it was better than what I had. I'll just exchange when I get one with stats. Reika: Disintegrate spam ftw!

Just set the difficulty to Torment VIII, and I'm actually in danger now from time to time. At this point, I really have to be careful when facing elite mooks, at least until I've ascertained what kind of abilities they come with. I don't have too much problems with it, but it's quite clear my ability to throw out five turrets instead of just three is helping here.
I also completed a level 40 Greater rift, which went pretty well. I might as well go with this, since it more or less guarantees Legendary Gems upgrades up to 25, at least, which is when their secondary ability kicks in.

OK, looks like level 42 Greater Rifts is my limit with the Demon Hunter. I tried and just failed on a level 43 one right after that. I could probably have made it, but when the elites have mortars, they can and will eat me alive, and when you die several times, the game will throw increased respawning times on you. The rift time JUUUUST expired as I was about to take on the rift guardian, and... well, that was it for me. I think I'll stick with level 40 rifts for a while.

Yeah, it looks like I'm approaching that limit too. The highest I can go right now is 37, so I've almost caught up.
Do you know the Unity trick? For those wondering, get a legendary follower token that has the 'follower cannot die' property, then two Unity rings (preferably having one in the Cube). Since your follower is basically invincible, you can enjoy Unity's 50% damage reduction without any drawbacks.
But yeah, I've got just about everything for my Firebird Wizard except for the Deathwish, Ancient Parthan Defenders, and a Halo of Arlyse. At this point, it's min/maxing and hoping for Ancient drops.
Have you been using a guide for builds, or just going by instinct?

My Wizard build in case anyone was wondering. I usually look up on icy-veins for builds to work towards, and it's where I pulled my Firebird build from, although I've tuned the original build a bit more offensively, sort of a cross between the original and the 'Fresh lvl 70' build. The main attack skill is Disintegrate (with the Convergence rune), while the rest are passives and utility in Familiar (Sparkflint), Teleport (Wormhole, though I might exchange for Safe Passage when I start getting into T10), Energy Armor (Prismatic Armor), Magic Weapon (Force Weapon), and Frost Nova (Bone Chill). For Passive Skills, I have Glass Cannon, Audacity, Unwavering Will, and Unstable Anomaly. For Kanai's Cube, I have The Furnace for the weapon slot, Aquila Cuirass for the armor slot, and Unity for the accessory slot. For gear, I have 6 of the 7 pieces of the Firebird's Finery set, replacing the shoulders with the Mantle of Channeling, Hergbrash's Binding for the belt, The Endless Walk set (The Compass Ring and The Traveler's Pledge) for the amulet and one of the rings... and for when I get them, Deathwish for the weapon, Halo of Arlyse for the other ring, and Ancient Parthan Defenders for the wrists. For the gem sockets, I have Topaz in the torso and pants, an Emerald in the weapon, an Amethyst in the helm, and the legendary gems Bane of the Trapped, Bane of the Stricken, and Taeguk in the accessories. This set-up has gotten me almost to T9 Greater Rifts. As I said earlier, all that's left is hoping for Ancient drops and lucky/min/max stat rolls. I might make a second build with one of the other armor sets (two sets per character is my goal), probably Vyr's or Tal Rasha. On the subject of classes, I'll be maining a Hammer of the Ancients build for my Barbarian next. However, to my dismay, 2.4 nerfed my Dashing Strike Monk, so I'll have to re-roll stats or reacquire sets. That Mystic Ally build looks promising. Finally, I'm definitely going to main a Thorns of the Invoker set for my Crusader. As for Demon Hunter and Witch Doctor, I am currently undecided on which builds I want to go for... Hopefully I can decide before the next expansion.

I haven't used any guides, no. My demon hunter uses, like I said, Chackram (with the dual rune on), which allows him to attack anyone and everyone, and it basically pierces walls and heads up or down slopes regardless of steepness. As a secondary, I use elemental arrow with the cold rune. For the bow, I have an ancient version of Yang's Recurve. (Though I don't really use multishot.) For the skills obtained from the cube, I have the one that grants me up to five turrets, three wolf companions and... I forgot which for the rings. I don't think I've got any really good ring skills yet. (I'll look into that unity thing.)
Basically, I was a bit taken back how effective the Marauder set was at upping my damage due to the whole turret percentage boosting. Made him really good at crowd control, basically, but with lots of turrets around, most bosses and other elites could be dealt with easily too... as long as they didn't go directly for me. (Meaning them having Jailer or Vortex could also be a huge problem -- and they often did.)

And I have my sword. Reika: It was an Ancient drop! ........and it didn't have the correct weapon damage element, and I had to use up an enchantment to get a socket. >_< At least it got me to lvl 45 rifts. Reika: Torment X farming. Woo! And lvl 45 is where I'm gonna have to stay until I get some more Ancients and/or min/maxing stats. Onto the next! Reika: Inb4RoascomesupandcallsLarkamadman... >.>
