I don't think you'll miss the extra day all that much. Assuming it's the same on both sides, you'll soon have more days than you need for character story actions. But that gets filled up running your own item booth.
And I'll see your Lily and raise you a Goto. He's... beyond words.
I adore Et's brother, though. Especially since he's got the same Japanese VA as Laharl.

Okay, I gotta say... I don't like "Miss Lily" all too much. Never in any anime or game (maybe for the exception of Gendo *cough*) have I come across a character so unbelievably self-centered. I gotta hand it to Raze. He's got some serious stones to have put up with her since childhood. Yun is straight up awesome, as are the Puni Bros. Et... she definitely has the looks, but seems to be oblivious to just about everything. No wonder Enna doesn't seem to like her too much. Maybe getting an ending with Raze will help that out. Anyway, I'm at the festival/battle-royale. Things are starting to pick up. Also... Finishing Strikes = win.

Beaten Raze's path. Now on to Ulrika's. But seriously, those last chapters were nuts.

Damn it, you guys, you inspired me to buy MK2 when I saw it on the store shelf (had a bit of price tag shock, too--it's been a while since I last bought a new game). It's now in the to-be-played queue after Wild ARMs. ;P

I'm pissed. My PS2 is rejecting my EBC discs...all three of them... Other PS1 games are working fine, but not them. The damn thing even dinged my previously pristine Disc 1 It's what was going to eat up my playing time this month.... Stupid hardware.

After giving Soul Calibur IV a whirl once at my cousin's place and ultimately falling in love with it, my bro picked it up for me as a b-day present. To my delight, it's as awesome as I remember. What I like- I'm absolutely loving the graphics and gameplay. (Whee, fewer counters than Dead or Alive!) Not only are the VS battles a blast, I love the tower sequences. Yes, they could be a bit clearer as to the goals of each stage, but I also love a challenge. Another great feature is adjusting my strategies to the different weapons, from short swords to lightsabers to naginatas. (Might come in handy for writing battle scenes?) So far, Sophitia is my favorite character to play as, for her initial boosts and combos. Her costume could also inspire me for my hydromaniac in that Grecian drapery and armor together can look so badass. 'Lastly, adding Yoda was brilliant. His battles were my favorite parts in the 2nd and 3rd prelude Star Wars movies. What could be improved- I mentioned the tower goals being a little unclear. The music isn't bad, but I haven't heard any hardcore tracks equal to the graphics quite yet. The stories are fascinating, from what is shown, but not quite clear to someone just jumping in. However, someone on Gamefaqs has written the cross game histories of characters, so that's taken care of. I'm going to enjoy working on this, playing through the towers and getting my fighting game abilities back and also trying my hand at character creation. Who knows, maybe the reflexes will come in handy for perfectly timed dolphin jumps, too.

I'm currently playing Phantasy Star on my SMS. Yep, it still works, and so does the original battery. My old saves are still intact eventhough I haven't played the game in a few years, too. Unbelievable.
Anyway, I just got the Laconian Armor and Laconian Shield. I'll probably go after the Laconian Sword next, if not the Aeroprism. I love how the game becomes an almost completely non-linear quest-for-the-stuff-you-need-to-find-to-beat-Lassic after you get your own spaceship.
Plus I have to agree about Level 5's storytelling ability. They make some of the most polished games ever with some of the weakest storylines ever. The best part in the entire story of Dark Cloud 2 is the subplot about the "Sage". Still, Dark Cloud's story was lightyears ahead of Rogue Galaxy's absolute MESS of a plot.
But plot isn't the only issue with Rogue Galaxy, a game which could have and should have been one of the best ever. The gameplay is screwed up, too. If you level up, you can destroy all of the enemies in one attack. If you don't level up, you have to use like 10 healing potions during every battle. And there's no in-between! It's ridiculous! Either the monsters slash you to ribbons or you easily defeat them.
And I just have to say how much I HATE the ending of the game (highlight spoiler text below to read!)
So the game starts out that you're stuck on a planet which has been occupied by the Longardian military, right? And they set up this war between the Longardians and the Draxians, and your planet is caught in the middle. It's pretty epic. At least, it would be, if it was ever actually developed. Instead the game falls into some dumbass treasure hunt for "Eden", and then somehow, magically, at the end of the game, we're to assume that the Longardians and Draxians stopped fighting each other so the Longardians left Rosa. Why? Because the Star King appeared? Because Valkog is dead? Who knows? And who really cares? Obviously not Level 5.
Add to all of this that your character actually did do something epic, they defeated "Mother Rune" and saved Mariglenn. So of course when you go to meet the people of Mariglenn in the "future", they throw you off their planet because, as Nash might say, you're ignorant peasants. What??? I so wanted to say, "Hey, YOU'RE WELCOME for saving your planet, A-HOLES!!!" Essentially you saved the planet just so that the people on it could act like complete ingrates. It would be like Alex getting thrown out of Meribia at the end of SSSC. But Level 5 did it!

Finished Mana Khemia 2. I am disappointed that the character endings are not as definitive as the were in 1. But I loved the True Final Boss (named not mentioned due to spoiler), cause even at the end of the battle, he remains unrepentant, yet there's really not much else he can do. Nice little break from all the 'redeemed' villains out there lately.
Anyway, I've chosen to go a bit old school and am working on Vagrant Story.

Finished Mana Khemia 2. I am disappointed that the character endings are not as definitive as the were in 1. Unfortunately that's happening more and more. I don't know how many of you have a Wii, but I have been trying out Muramasa. Very nice game. Stylized, action/arcadey with a good character building system. Lots of good clean slicing and dicing fun.

I'm playing Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days right now. Going through the Axel scenario first via the code. His siblings are funny, especially the one with the bandanna (if he were in charge, the family would probably be in much better shape despite his age). As far as the first two characters you pick up on his pathway go... well, I wouldn't want to spoil the fun. ...You've got to wonder about the kind of fans he attracts, though.

Currently playing Persona 3 again. Which is funny, because playing through the game again has been a breeze due to the fact that the main character started the game at his ending level, aka 91. I had one hit killed the first ten mid-bosses due to persona leveling. Only playing Persona 3 because the DS is gone, so I can't play Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2.

I picked up Colin McRae DiRT2 last weekend, so I've been playing that. It's a little bit too hipster-graffiti-like for me, but the racing is solid, so I'll live.

Replaying Star Ocean 4, then 3 afterwards.
I know I said before that Tri-Ace dropped the ball on the story-writing and characters, yet I'm still playing it... and enjoying it.
I don't know, maybe it's just that it's easier for me than other people to look past a game's flaws. I mean, I still enjoy Rogue Galaxy. *gets shot*
Of course, even I have my limits. FFXII can rot in hell, for example. If the Ivalice Alliance wanted a new game, they should've made a damn sequel to Vagrant Story already.

You have no idea how crazy I get whenever I hear someone tout FF XII as a great game....It was a piece of shit...and I am an old school FF fan as you all know...and I still say it was a piece of shit!!! Too bad my review I did of it a couple years ago got lost on the old board...I really laid it all out there why it was a piece of shit. I wonder if I can find another chance to say it was a piece of shit...oh look, I did.
